Always up-to-date

What is considered the best nutrition today may be improved tomorrow. We directly translate new insights from ongoing research into our recipes. This way, your dog always eats based on the most current science, not what was proven five years ago.

Non sponsored research

DogRisk is affiliated with the University of Helsinki and conducts large-scale research into the health effects of dog food. No commercial interests, no sponsored conclusions. Wolfork donates 2.5% of its turnover to DogRisk annually so that independent research can continue.

No claims without evidence

Every ingredient in Wolfork’s food has a purpose. We don’t make claims we can’t substantiate, and if research shows that something can be improved, we adjust our recipes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, Wolfork dog food meets all requirements according to FEDIAF guidelines. Please note: the vitamin E content in our food is lower than the set FEDIAF standard. This is because FEDIAF assumes synthetic vitamins, while we only use natural vitamins. Each vitamin is composed of different compounds. Not every compound can be absorbed by the body. Vitamin E from natural ingredients is almost entirely absorbable by the body. Synthetic vitamin E, on the other hand, is only absorbed by about 16%. If you look at the absorption of vitamin E in the body, our values meet the FEDIAF guidelines.

Many veterinarians and breeders are concerned that if people start preparing raw meals themselves, their dog may not receive all the necessary nutrients. This can lead to deficiencies that ultimately cause health problems. We understand this concern, which is why Wolfork dog food is carefully formulated by nutritional scientists. This way, you can be sure that your dog receives all the necessary nutrients daily.

Not all ingredients. The yeast and fish oil we use are specially developed for animal feed. However, all meat ingredients come from EU-approved production sites. The vegetables, fruit and seaweed that we process in Wolfork are also suitable for human consumption.

Research shows that feeding raw meat offers many health benefits to dogs. For example, dogs with allergies, chronic ear infections, skin conditions, or intestinal problems can respond very positively to Wolfork dog food. Ask us for feeding adviceor contact us if you are unsure whether you can feed Wolfork to your dog.

We pay the utmost attention to the quality of our dog food. That is why we regularly have our food tested by an independent and accredited laboratory for the required nutritional value and the absence of unwanted bacteria.

At the moment, we do not have a standard breeder program. Are you interested in feeding Wolfork to your puppies or dogs? Please contact us, we would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you personally.
